When culinary magician Jordi Cruz decided to move his two-star Michelin restaurant aBaC out to Tibidabo, he repaid the foodies of El Born by establishing this refreshingly unpretentious tapas restaurant in its space. The tapas menu has a great version of fried potatoes with aioli mousse and spicy bravas sauce, but you’ll also find more ambitious plates like foie gras with figs, sweet and salted bread crumbs, and Sichuan pepper ice cream. One of the most inspired dishes might be the oysters on the half shell with a dollop of cucumber ice cream, finely minced lemon peel, and a drizzle of arbequina olive oil. Roughly 15 dishes are offered at a time, including one special from the aBaC menu.
