Getting There -- Trains from Paris, Barcelona, Montpellier, Sète, and Perpignan arrive at the SNCF station south of the town on boulevard de Verdun. For bus information, call Bus Occitan at tel. 04-67-28-36-41. Béziers has a small airport 12km (8 miles) east of the city, which is connected by regular shuttle buses. Depending on the season, flights arrive from Beauvais near Paris, as well as destinations in the U.K., Scandinavia and Germany.

Special Events -- The city lights up every mid-August for the Féria. For 4 days, everyone joins in for street festivals, music, dancing, and, most importantly, bullfighting.
