Arriving -- Several direct trains run from Paris’s Gare de Austerlitz every day (1 hr., 30 min.; 15€-45€ one-way), and around a dozen depart from the Gare Montparnasse, which involves a change in Tours (around 1 hr., 50 min.; 22€–68€). From Tours, trains run almost every hour (trip time: 40 min.), at a cost of 12€ one-way. For information and schedules, visit or call tel. 36-35.

From April to October, you can take a bus ( from the Blois train station to tour nearby châteaux, including Chambord, Cheverny and Beauregard.

If you’re driving from Tours, take RN152 east to Blois, which runs along the Loire; if you want to get there fast, take the A10 autoroute.
