From Cardiff, motorists can head north along A470.
Visitor Information -- The Brecon Tourist Information Office, in the Cattle Market Car Park (tel. 01874/622485; www.brecon-beacons.com), is open in summer daily from 9:30am to 5:30pm; in winter, it's open Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 9:30am to 4pm.
