Oub Kham Museum
Small but mighty, this museum on the outskirts of town packs more than a 1,000-years of Tai and Lanna history and artifacts into its displays. The private collection belongs to curator Julasak Suriyachai, a descent of a Lanna royal family, and he regularly leads tours himself—just ask. Set among several historic buildings the museum contains impressive coronation robes from 15th-century Lanna kings and a 400-year-old golden throne of the Tai Yai royals from the Shan State in Myanmar.
