Kölner Philharmonie
This architectural showcase was completed during the late 1980s. The concert hall features a soaring roof, enviable acoustics, and some of the finest classical music along the country's western tier. The building is the home of two separate orchestras, the Gürzenich Kölner Philharmoniker and the Westdeutscher Rundfunk Orchestra. Pop and jazz programs are also presented. Performances are given almost every night at 8pm, except Monday.
