A big step up from the average cafe tacked onto an art gallery, the Crawford is as much a great little bistro as it is a convenient spot for a coffee or light nibble. It’s open for breakfast, which certainly provides some excellent options if you can’t face another hotel morning meal. Expect to find tempting treats such as spiced scones, American-style pancakes, and delicious eggs Florentine with organic spinach on the menu. Lunchtime is when this place gets busiest, though, and the line-up changes regularly with plenty of daily specials like chorizo bean cassoulet or smoked salmon salad with horseradish dressing.
