This 15th-century palace is not as grand as the neighboring San Michele, but the hospitality hits the same high notes, Piazza Signorelli is just steps away, and the relaxed ambiance seems to come naturally and is well-suited to small-town Cortona. The spacious high-ceiling rooms are plain but nicely atmospheric, with tasteful rustic wood furnishings, beamed ceilings, and other architectural flourishes. Only a few have views, but to enjoy those you can linger over your coffee in the panoramic top-floor breakfast room or relax on the roof terrace.
