Getting There
By Bus -- Thirteen daily buses connect Courmayeur with Aosta (1 hr.). At least hourly buses (more in summer; tel. 0165-841-305) run between Courmayeur's Piazzale Monte Bianco and Entrèves and La Palud (10 min.), just above Entrèves.
By Car -- Autostrada A5 from Turin to the Mont Blanc tunnel passes Courmayeur; the trip from Aosta to Courmayeur on this much-used route takes less than half an hour (lots of time in tunnels; for scenery, take the parallel S26, about 1 hr.), and total travel time from Turin is less than 2 hours.
