Bora overlooks the colored wooden fishing boats of a small harbor, just a 10-minute walk from Veli Lošinj. Italian chef Marco Sasso, who spent several years in the U.S., keeps the atmosphere relaxed and informal. The kitchen serves refined contemporary cuisine, with truffles being the house specialty. The day’s menu is chalked up on a blackboard, but look out for those truffles and homemade ravioli, along with standout tuna carpaccio and scampi risotto. Round things off with a chocolate soufflé.
