With a reef encircling a pretty crescent beach on Piscadera Bay, this Marriott is a well-managed winner. The open, welcoming lobby sets the sunny tone, and the low-rise buildings encircle a large pool, with palm trees and big umbrellas facing the beach. The staff is friendly, sharp-eyed, and on top of things, a big perk in a region that sometimes lags in this respect. Done in soothing mustard and blue hues, rooms are spacious and built for comfort, with trademark Revive bedding and private balconies or terraces, many with sea views. The resort is thoroughly self-contained (although dining can be pricey), and you can even do a little gambling at the on-site Emerald Casino. Tip: Snorkeling is good right off the beach; head outside the rock jetties or ask the on-premises dive shop to point you in the right direction. Ask about dive packages.
