Getting There -- There are eight trains an hour to Delft from Amsterdam (all require a transfer in Rotterdam) and up to 10 an hour from Rotterdam. The ride from Amsterdam takes around 1 hour; a round-trip ticket is  27.60€ and there is a supplemental charge of 2.40€ each way on some trains. From Rotterdam, it’s 10 minutes and 7€. From The Hague, the train journey is a 15-minute ride that costs 5.20€ round trip. For more details, visit www.ns.nl. By car, the town is just off the A13/E19 expressway from The Hague to Rotterdam.

Visitor Information -- Delft’s VVV Delft, Kerkstraat 3 (www.delft.com; tel. 015/215-4052) is located in the center of town near the Nieuwe Kerk. April to September, opening hours are Sunday and Monday 10am to 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm; October to March, Sunday and Monday 11am to 3pm, Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 4pm.
