Hotels in Hanga Roa

Lodging on Easter Island is overpriced for what you get, and no hotel other than explora's Posada de Mike Rapu can be considered higher than a middle-range hotel. Every hotel is about the same: a moderately comfortable bed, nightstand, maybe a television and desk, ceramic floors, and cheap linens. Even the most basic hotels charge at least $60 (£40) a night, and anything less than that can be pretty grim. All hotels on the island are located in Hanga Roa, but some are a 10- to 15-minute walk to restaurants and services. All lodging options include breakfast in the price, and most can organize tours and set up rental vehicles. As a last resort, you can usually find locals selling rooms in small residenciales and family homes waiting arriving flights.
