Icheon World Ceramics Center

The site of the biennial Icheon Ceramics Festival, which is held in odd-numbered years, the center is dedicated to ceramics making in South Korea and throughout the world. It has four main exhibition halls and a large open space for festivals and special events. You can visit the museum and ceramics center, run by the World Ceramics Exposition Foundation, even when the expo is not going on. On permanent display are works by major Korean artists and international ceramists.

• Transportation: Bus: Take bus no. 1113-1 from the "jwaseok" bus stop in front of Techno Mart (near Gangbyeon station), and get off at the Gwangju Joseon Royal Kiln Museum. From there, take a bus going toward Icheon Terminal and get off at the Icheon Fire Station. From there, it's a short walk to the center. From Seoul take a bus from either the DongSeoul Bus Terminal or the Seoul Express Bus Terminal to Icheon and grab a taxi in front of the Icheon Bus Terminal. The ride is only about 5-10 min
