Far and away the most honeymoon-worthy spot in Ixtapa, each room is angled over the sea cliff in such a way that its little balcony feels utterly private. Many of these terraces contain tiny plunge pools (I thought they were Jacuzzis at first glance) and the views are dreamy. As for the rooms, they're a zen symphony of neutrals—taupe, white, and wheat—with handsome straw wall hangings in the form of interlocking circles the only decoration…and the only decoration needed. The hotel doesn’t have a private beach but guests can easily walk to the excellent one that fronts the Club Med next door. On-site are three restaurants, a mid-sized pool and a small, but state-of-the-art, gym.
