When Kasper Pollera first opened this hotel, Napoleon had not long been buried. Enjoying its grand period a century ago before being occupied by the Nazis, then left to decay, the hardy Pollera has been handed back to its rightful owners and brought back into service. Guests are treated to comfortable if not luxurious lodgings, but most are happy to pass by the wonderful original stained-glass artwork by Stanisƚaw Wyspiański on the staircase while contemplating 180 years of history.
