From Grand-Terre, most passengers opt for transit to La Désirade by ferry, which leaves from the wharves at St-François every day at 8am. Returns from La Désirade for St-François include a daily departure at 4:45pm, allowing convenient access for day-trippers. Trip time is around 50 minutes each way, depending on conditions at sea.
