Restaurants in Logrono
When it’s time for dinner or just a few pre-dinner tapas, anyone who’s anyone is to be found somewhere near the L-shaped junction of Calle de Laurel and Travesia de Laurel, two fun-packed intersecting streets loaded with bars and restaurants. Every self-respecting Spanish town has an area like this, but in Logroño each bar is a specialist. Look at the enticing posters outside, make your selection, and then plunge in. We recommend the garlic mushrooms at Soriano, Travesia de Laurel, and don’t miss Torrecilla, Calle Laurel 15, where everything is made to order and which showcases its foie fresca and its sirloin strips (calconcillos). We're also big fans of the “lollipop of Iberian sirloin with mushroom sauce” at Letras de Laurel, Calle Laurel, 22. Attracting a slightly more mature crowd, Calle San Juan is a street equally packed with bars offering delicious pintxos. Here you are spoiled for choice, but Bar Samaray (on the street’s intersection with the Travesia San Juan) does a tasty cod frito and plenty more, too.
