The area between Sisak and Jasenovac is best known for the Lonjsko Polje Nature Park's endangered wildlife and 19th-century villages. The marshland area is also a favorite of bird-watchers, who hoist their binoculars at the Krapke Dol bird sanctuary near Jasenovac. But it is tiny, rustic Cigoc that attracts the most traffic. Cigoc is a designated European Stork Village and a living tribute to 19th-century Croatia.
