Of the more than 1,000 Maldivian islands only a few are developed. Many resorts have their own jetties in Malé, the capital, and are a 10-minute speedboat ride away. Boat or plane transfer is typically included in accommodation costs. Resorts have top-notch restaurants, but can also help arrange transportation if you chose to dine somewhere else in your atoll.
