The hotels of Içmeler offer a lovely alternative to staying in Marmaris proper, and the resort center is much more tranquil. Accessible via water taxi (or if you feel like walking, there's the waterfront promenade), Içmeler is close enough to take advantage of the shopping, dining, and nightlife, yet far enough away that the coastline is once again able to enchant.
