A Day at the Beach
Bus no. 83 leaves from the Vieux Port heading for the public beaches outside Marseille. This bus takes you to Plage du Prado and Plage de la Corniche, the best bets for swimming and sunning. The sands are a bit gray and sometimes rocky, but the beaches are wide and the water is generally clear. These beaches are set against a scenic backdrop of the cliffs of Marseille.
