This restaurant has been justly popular with locals (Pavarotti was a regular) since it opened in 1934. Modena specialties dominate the menu: tortelloni di zucca (pumpkin tortelloni), lasagne al forno (baked lasagna), sausages and dumplings, and the classic/notorious carrello dei bolliti, a spread of various boiled meats. In fact, there's always lots of more familiar beef on offer, from a wonderfully light carpaccio to more substantial osso buco and steaks.
