Chira Glamping
★★—Just east of the town center, Chira is a small collection of stylishly decorated geodesic domes with private bathrooms and handcrafted wooden furnishings, connected by a stilted walkway and perched on a steep hillside. Each is equipped with a large terrace overlooking the forest (amazing views!) and some add extras like an outdoor grill or hot tub. The family suite even adds a slide and a climbing wall. Each tent has a kitchen and a free minibar. The only downside: you’re really out in nature, so there will be bugs. The on-site gourmet restaurant, San Lucas ★★★ (p ###), set in the treetops, and looking like something out of a Star Wars film, is perhaps the most original dining experience in the region.
