Located at the Cerro Plano intersection along the road between Santa Elena and the Monteverde reserve, this is another local lodge that has steadily grown and expanded over the years. The largest building (on the highest part of the 6-acre property) is where you’ll find the rooms with the best views. The wood-paneled walls and carpeted floors tend to give the decor a dated, motel-like feel, but it’s clean and the staff is friendly. Five hot tubs and Jacuzzis are spread around the lush grounds between the hotel’s several buildings. There’s a large private cloud forest preserve behind the hotel, and the owners also run the Selvatura adventure center.
