A thick-walled Venetian storehouse is today the home for artifacts from the many ancient sites that surround Nafplion. The Mycenaeans steal the show with their splendid craftsmanship, unearthed at Tiryns, Dendra, Mycenae and other nearby settlements. These include a bronze suit of armor consisting of 15 sheets of bronze so heavy that scholars have concluded the wearer could have fought only while riding a chariot. Death masks and offerings from the extensive network of tombs at Mycenae are also shown. It will take approximately an hour to see it all.
