Unpretentious yet stylish, this independent boutique hotel set a standard in luxury when it opened in 2009, and a recent refresh brought much of its original modernity back to the fore. On the ground floor, you’ll find a 5,000-square-foot cocktail bar, as well as a beautiful in-house music venue, Analog—a unique, affordable, and convenient way to experience live music. While the restaurant has yet to take hold as a dining destination (Currently called Evelyn’s, it’s changed names at least four times in the past decade) the food itself is typically solid. As for guestrooms, they are on the smaller side, but with high quality beds, and such a smart design they don’t feel cramped. Located right on the cusp of Midtown and West End, the Hutton is a good option for those who want to be able to walk to boisterous (read: young) nightlife spots like Winners but don’t want to be all the way downtown.
