Located just off West End, this small, upscale restaurant conjures up a romantic atmosphere, with sumptuous food that’s a favorite with older crowds, but shouldn’t be overlooked by any diner looking for classic flavors and impeccable service. Rich and flavorful sauces are the rule here, with influences from all over the world. Be sure to start a meal with the lemon-artichoke soup, which is as good as its reputation around town. From there, consider moving on to crab cakes served with cayenne hollandaise, and available as either an appetizer or an entree. Lunches here are much simpler than dinners, with lots of sandwiches on the menu, and they also offer breakfast, which is a rarity in Midtown. If you’re ready to throw caution to the wind, the seared scallops served over lobster brie mac and cheese is exceptional, upscale comfort food. Tip: The restaurant also offers free shuttle service for people traveling from downtown hotels.
