Located just off West End, this small, upscale restaurant has been a favorite with older crowds for more than 30 years due to their classic flavors and impeccable service. Rich and flavorful sauces are de rigeur, with influences from all over the world. Start with the lemon-artichoke soup, which is as good as its reputation around town, and move on to crab cakes served with cayenne hollandaise. Lunches here are much simpler than dinners, with lots of sandwiches on the menu, and they also offer breakfast, which is a rarity in Midtown. If you’re ready to throw caution to the wind at dinner, the seared scallops served over lobster brie mac and cheese is exceptional, over-the-top comfort food. Tip: The restaurant also offers free shuttle service for patrons traveling to or from downtown.
