Mimosa Hotel
The staff gets top marks at the Mimosa. No, they don’t greet guests with a mimosa cocktail on arrival, but really do go all out to make sure guests feel supported and welcomed. As for the rooms, they are spic and span if forgettable looking, with sleepable beds, and double-paned windows that do a surprisingly good job at keeping out the noise of the above-ground subway that passes by on the bridge across the street (it sounds like a moving thunder storm out on the street, but barely registers inside the hotel). You’ll be bunking deep in Manhattan’s Chinatown here, but near to the Lower East Side, and a good number of subway lines.
