A real working Jamaican plantation -- not one gussied up as a tourist attraction -- is reached by taking the A3 from Ocho Rios toward the coastal town of Oracabessa. The plantation, which grows coffee and bananas, among other fruits, is in the hamlet of Crescent on the B13, lying 5km (3 miles) south of Oracabessa and 29km (18 miles) from Ocho Rios. Nolly and Lorna Binns, the plantation owners, take visitors on a guided tour of the property.
