Church of Sts. Peter and Paul
Located on Osijek’s main square, the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul is referred to by locals as the “katedrala” (cathedral), though in reality it is only a parish church. An imposing red brick neo-Gothic edifice, it was designed by German architect Franz Langenberg and Austrian architect Richard Jordan in the 1890s. The interior is decorated with sacral paintings from the 1930s. The building’s most striking feature is its bell tower, standing 82m (270 ft.) tall.
