Hotels in Palenque

English is spoken in all the more expensive hotels and about half of the inexpensive ones. The quoted rates include the 18% tax. High season in Palenque is limited to Easter week, July to August, and December. Palenque gets most of its visitors through bus tours, which originate in Cancún; if you want to avoid running into large groups, pick a small hotel.
