Fern Street Wine Bar & Kitchen
On a quiet side street near the much louder, bustling scene at CityPlace is this very special wine bar and restaurant. It has a small, dimly lit dining room and humming bar, and a sprawling outdoor patio beneath the big buildings and new construction of West Palm Beach. The food theme here is ranch-to-kitchen, with said kitchen smack in the middle of the bar and featuring a Palvesi wood fire oven, straight from Modena, Italy. On it, they’re grilling bison, vegetables, Spanish octopus, Berkshire pork, you name it. The Rancher’s Reserve short rib (with Japanese sweet potato mash, oyster mushroom and a micro green salad) is one of the many yummy entrée combos they serve. Pair your dish with whatever wine the knowledgeable server tells you will go with it. Staff are very welcoming and real experts.
