This shoebox-size wine-bar-cum-crêpe stand is an outcropping of the venerable Comptoir du Relais next door. Hungry diners descend on the bar-and-tapas component while waiting for a table at the restaurant; those in search of quick and portable bites can order takeout crêpes and salads (by ordering from the takeout menu, you give up your right to stand and eat at the counter). The decidedly hip atmosphere trumps the low-key “this is just a typical southwestern bar” decor. Goodies include fried croquettes stuffed with Iberian ham, brandade (mashed potatoes with cod), oxtail canapés with horseradish cream, and chicken hearts grilled with garlic and parsley.
