The glistening domes of this 19th-century building bring to mind a grand hotel on the French Riviera. Printemps means “spring,” which is certainly eternal in this elegant store. Split into five sections (women’s fashions, menswear, housewares, beauty, and food), four of the seven floors of women’s fashion are devoted to designer labels. If you can’t handle the crowds inside, you can always enjoy the famed vitrines, or window displays, which are usually very creative and original. Better yet, ride to the top of Printemps Homme (menswear) and munch your way around the food court, where every item, from the vodka to the truffles, is French; the views over the city’s rooftops (not to mention the dishes on your plate) are more than Instagrammable there, too.
