Some of the world's most discerning people head to the town of Eugénie-les-Bains, about 53km (33 miles) north of Pau, in search of the marvelous domain (hotel, restaurant, and spa) of Michel Guérard. The town has no rail station, so most people drive from Pau. To get here, take N134 north to Garlin, follow the unmarked road west to the town of Geaune, and follow signs to Eugénie-les-Bains.
