Getting There

Speedy TGV trains take only 4 1/2 hours from the Montparnasse station in Paris. The one-way fare ranges from 25€ to 88€. For information, visit www.sncf-connect.com or call tel. 36-35. If you’re driving, the best route is from Rennes: Take E50/N12 west to just outside the town of Montauban, continue west along N164 to Châteaulin, and head south along N165 to Quimper.

Special Events: For 6 days around the third week of every July, the Festival de Cornouaille celebrates Breton culture. The festivities include parades in traditional costume and Celtic and Breton concerts throughout the city. For information, contact the tourist office.
