Mahogany Manor Bed & Breakfast
Not many years ago, this stately 1905 merchant’s home had fallen into a desperate state. Chopped up as apartments and let go, it needed major renovations to restore it to its former glory. That renovation happened, and today, the common areas of the home look downright elegant, their shiny wood floor covered with handsome area rugs and well-curated antiques; guest rooms are as evocative, done up in bold colors or happy florals and furnished with mix of comfortable antiques and antique reproductions. Although it sits at the heart of Saint John’s uptown area, around the corner from Queen’s Square, this end of the street is quiet. One room on the first floor is wheelchair accessible.
