Hotels in San Remo
Most restaurants and hotels in the “City of Flowers” are concentrated—if not along the promenade leading into town— in the streets and alleyways in and around the famous Ariston Theater where the Sanremo Festival is held every year.
Is Board Necessary? -- Many hotels offer room-and-board rates that include breakfast, lunch, and dinner (full board or full pension), or breakfast and one of these other two meals (half-board or half-pension). Only in the busy late July and early August beach season do many require you to take these meals, however. If you can procure a room without the meal plan, do so—San Remo has many excellent restaurants, and this is not a place where you have to spend a lot for a good meal.
