Restaurants in San Remo

Seafood specialties are a focus in local restaurants; two local favorites for Ligurian specialties specific to San Remo include Paolo & Barbara (Via Roma 47) and Osteria dei Tre Scalini (in Piazza Sardi).

Agora Cafè, on Piazza San Siro (tel. 0184-507248), which faces San Remo’s cathedral, makes no claim other than to be a comfortable watering hole, a function it performs very well. For footsore travelers, the terrace out front, facing the pretty stone piazza and cathedral of San Siro, is a welcome oasis. Sandwiches and other light fare are served late into the night, when an after-dinner crowd tends to make this one of the livelier spots in town.
