Captiva Island Inn Bed & Breakfast

Located on Captiva's most commercial street—don't fret, it's not a strip mall, a shopping mall, or remotely like Times Square—this quaint little B&B is in need of a bit of TLC, but for location, it's ideal. It's just up the block from the beach (360 steps to be exact, but who's counting?), formed from a cluster of cottages right in the heart of things. The B&B offers full breakfast at two restaurants right next door—Key Lime Bistro and RC Otter's—both very good, very fun restaurants that exude Captiva's charming island vibe. Cottages are cute, but in need of a coat of paint, some new furniture, and a few tweaks in the bedding and technology departments. There is no Wi-Fi here and the TV is tiny. A five-bedroom house is ideal for families or large groups. A nice plus is the daily maid service, which keeps things clean, if not exactly sparkling. That being said, the location is unbeatable, the staff is friendly, and the rates are exceptionally reasonable.
