Planning a trip to Santillana del Mar

Autobuses La Cantábrica (tel. 94-272-08-22) operates four to seven buses a day from Santander in summer, cutting back to three per day between September and June. Trip time is 45 minutes, and a one–way fare costs 12€.

To drive, take the N-611 from Santander to the C-6316 cutoff to Santillana; it’s about a half–hour drive.

The tourist information office is at Av. Escultor Jesús Otero, 20 (tel. 94-281-88-12). It’s open Mon–Sat 10am–6pm, Sun 9:30am–2pm.
