Arriving -- If you’re driving, head along A6 from Paris or Lyon. The train station is northeast of the town center. Passengers coming from Paris sometimes opt to take the TER from Paris Bercy, getting off in Montbard, 48km (30 miles) to the north. There are about six trains a day to Montbard and the journey takes over 2 hours. From Montbard, a series of buses timed to the arrival of the trains carry passengers on to Saulieu for a one-way fare of 1.50€.
