The upstairs dining room at this establishment just one street off Plaza Nueva serves excellent grilled meat and fish, but it’s frankly too quiet. Everyone prefers to crowd into the bar and adjacent dining room on the ground floor to enjoy creative tapas—soft-cooked foie gras on toast, finger rolls stuffed with spicy steamed mussels, lamb meatballs in mint sauce, or cod in a pasta sack with almond-garlic sauce. The 35 sherries by the glass are very reasonably priced.
