Quarterdeck Beachside Villas and Grill
There isn’t a bad view from the villas at the Quarterdeck. Built right on spectacular Summerville Beach, front doors and upstairs balconies open onto private decks overlooking a wide stretch of sand and the mesmerizingly beautiful bay. Inside of the units—most are two-story, two-bedroom villas, though some are smaller units (too small, frankly)—all is spotless, the walls are a natural wood and the furnishings in pretty, muted colors. On-site is a good restaurant and a large, indoor recreation facility. Although this isn’t an all-inclusive resort like White Point just up the road, it is a spectacular location for a Nova Scotian holiday, mostly because the beach is one of the most idyllic and accessible in the province.
