One of them at Zhengyang Jie 196 (tel. 024/2486-1999; www.homeinns.com; ¥199 standard room) is just 10-minute walk from Gugong and offers clean and cozy rooms. Its proximity to a number of attractions and the Zhong Jie business area makes it a good budget pick. Ibis (Yibisi, Nanjing Bei Jie 161; tel. 024/3131-5555; www.ibishotel.com; ¥178), close to the Taiyuan Street commercial district, is another convenient choice. It has stylish and comfy rooms, with LCD TV, Japanese-style partitions and small but very clean bathrooms.
