Shenyang has a wide selection of cuisines from Dongbei, to Sichuan, Japanese, Korean, and Western. For Japanese food, the classiest is Mikado, in the Marvelot Shenyang Hotel (Qingnian Dajie 388, next to the Sheraton), with a specialization in teppanyaki and fine sushi served in private tatami-mat rooms. Cheaper and more convenient is the Qianyi Lamian Dian, Tianjin Bei Jie, north of the Dongbei Cinema (tel. 024/2341-9941), open from 10am to 10pm. You can find KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and H?agen-Dazs Cafe on Zhonghua Jie, south of Shenyang Zhan, and on Taiyuan Jie; Taiyuan Jie also has two Starbucks; Zhong Jie has a pair of McDonald's and a Pizza Hut. For groceries, go to Wal-Mart on Zhonghua Jie, near Shenyang Zhan, or the Carrefour near Shenyang Bei Zhan.
