The Dewey Wine Bar
The Dewey is owned by the same culinary creatives who own Tampa’s lauded Mise en Place, and has lovely views of the gulf, plus indoor and outdoor seating. In addition to a curated charcuterie and cheese program that would make Martha Stewart proud, the menu has oysters, small plates, snacks, salads, and mains including a juicy, delicious hamburger. The brunch menu here is impressive (three words: s’mores French toast). As to be expected, the wines by the glass are something to sniff and swirl at, but ocktails are also a thing here, inspired by Tiki culture. Dewey is part of a complex called the Berkeley Beach Club, which has eight modern hotel suites and a rooftop lounge also worthy of exploring.
