Hotels in St-Tropez
St-Tropez is famous for its eye-popping hotel prices. If you're looking for a bargain, it's best to stay out of season -- prices double to quadruple for the summer season. Cheap summertime accommodation does exist in the two- and three-star category but you should be prepared for simple furnishings.
Another anomaly of St-Tropez is the huge variety of room sizes and bathrooms, even within the same room category. The reason is that many hotels (from Hôtel Byblos to La Ponche) are constructed from the amalgamation of historic village houses. Some standard rooms can be 50% larger than others and some standard bathrooms offer bath and shower where others offer just a small shower. Where appropriate, you'll find recommendations for individual room numbers and descriptions to help your choices.

Hôtel Byblos
Byblos is decked with bubbling fountains and ancient olive trees, and has been favored by rock stars and aristocrats ever since opening in 1967. Hôtel Les Palmiers
In a town packed with pricey accommodation options, this friendly, family-run hotel is a real find. Hôtel Sezz
Midway between St Tropez center and the golden sands of Plage de Pampelonne, Sezz sprawls like a Provençal ranch near a smaller public beach. The style is barefoot chic. Bungalows are built to incorporate inside/outside living with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that lead to…$$$Around Town - Hotel
Le Refuge
Granted, Le Refuge is not everyone's cup of tea (or indeed glass of chilled rosé). But if you want to kick back in beachy solitude on St-Tropez's lush peninsula, this long-time author favorite is the place for you. This bare bones establishment sits just seconds from the golden sands…$Around Town - Hotel
Pastis Hôtel-St-Tropez
This portside Provençal house feels more like a sophisticated, eclectic home than a hotel—albeit one decorated with a phenomenal eye for design. British owners John and Pauline Larkin have arranged their private collection of Matisse prints, vintage photographs, 1970s framed album…$$$Around Town
