Getting There -- Trains arrive from both Cardiff and from London every hour throughout the day. The trip takes about an hour from Cardiff, about 3 hours from London. National Express Coaches (tel. 0870/580-8080; www.nationalexpress.com) arrive in Swansea from London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Cardiff. Many of these connections include stops with about an hour's wait.

From Cardiff, motorists can continue west along the M4.

Getting Around -- Swansea is serviced by a good bus network, with buses leaving from the Quadrant Bus Station, at the Quadrant Shopping Centre.
